Photographs, practice and participants’ own words.
Bologna 2026 shows THE LUMINA METHOD™ by Per Valentin in practice. Here you can see work from the programme, Anette’s own words and the photo book the participants made afterwards.

The first full programme.
Bologna 2026 was the first full LUMINA Experience. Each day the participants worked on an assignment. Each evening they selected photographs and reviewed them with Per and the group.
The participants worked with their own images every day — not to collect as many as possible, but to find out what they were actually after.
Anette describes what changed in the way she sees and chooses photographs. Another participant describes finding her way back to photography.
“I came home with a completely different understanding of images.”
“I see more. I take fewer of the pictures I usually take. I think more about why I take them.”
“It felt a little like finding my way back. I use my camera better now. I think I see better.”
A book the participants made themselves.
After Bologna, the participants made a photo book from their photographs from the programme. The book is called “Det Usagte”. It is the participants’ own project, not a LUMINA product.
The book shows the participants taking their work beyond individual photographs: selecting images and bringing them together in a book.
